The Teenage years are a very important stage of life. Between hormone changes, challenges at school, questions of identity, peer pressures and more, there is a lot to sort through!
Much of what teens are learning and experiencing during this stage of their life is shaping how they will act and think for the rest of their life. We want our youth to be excited about knowing Jesus and experiencing His provision for all sufficiency when dealing with teen challenges.
Throughout scripture, God has had a special calling of young people. Consider Joseph, Samuel, Joshua, Daniel, David, Esther, Deborah, Miriam, Ruth, Mary, Daniel, Titus, Timothy and the list goes on. Many of Jesus' disciples were young, too. These people also made Him known to their circle of friends of friends and family, and teens have the same opportunity today.
If you're a teen who wants to explore who Jesus is, or grow in a relationship with Jesus, we invite you to hang out with us. We offer a variety of programs and social interaction.
Every Friday night we gather in our Youth Centre, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., or meet offsite for a time of lively music, interactive games, cool videos, bible teaching, and honest group discussions about God, life, and real issues that you face daily. Email Pastor Reuben for more information.

Sunday Morning Sessions (Grades 7 & 8 Only)
During the first part of the 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. worship services, grades 7 and 8 students gather with the adult congregation. Just prior to the sermon, they make their way to our Youth Centre for age-appropriate bible teaching and group interaction.
For youth who are inclined to memorizing, we provide a fun and healthy environment to interact with peers through quizzing.
Bible Quizzing is all about rallying our grades 7 to 12 students in our Youth Centre during the 11 a.m. service for the purpose of memorizing Scripture in a fun and interactive way in a spirit of friendly-competition. Our "Quizzers", as we call them, compete in three to four Quiz Meets each year, which is a great way to make friends with teammates and competitors from around the province of Ontario. We are planning to host two parent meetings within the school-year, one in the fall and one in the spring. The purpose of these meetings is to socialize and interact with parents of other teenagers and to encourage one another as we strive to disciple our youth into mature followers of Jesus.
Historically, retreats are the highlight of our programs where hundreds of youth from other churches participate in a weekend away. Many lives are transformed at these retreats with people embarking on a new journey with Christ. We are planning on having retreats for both Jr. High and Sr. High students in the winter.
Students love helping others. For that reason, from time to time, we plan community service projects which we carry out during our Friday Night Program. Some examples of projects we have organized in past years include:

The Rexdale Youth Centre is based out of Rexdale Alliance Church and exists to break down barriers in the community, specifically among the youth. Our desire is to ultimately bring these young people into a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and help them through obstacles they face day-to-day. This is accomplished through weekly programming of clubs, activities, skill training, teaching and mentoring.
Thursday Rush Hour Lunch (September-June): 11:35 -12:30 pm during the school year. Hang out, games, message and lunch. All students welcome.
