  • Do you feel isolated and alone as a mother?
  • Do you wish you had someone to talk to about your personal, financial and parenting struggles?
  • Would you like to learn new skills to help you manage your life and family better?

If you ever feel this way, then Moms Arise! is right for you.

What is Moms Arise!?
Moms Arise! is a weekly program that provides support for vulnerable mothers and their children in the Rexdale area.

At Moms Arise! you will:

CONNECT – by meeting other moms from the community who face similar life challenges. Moms Arise! will help you to build a network of women who can provide friendship during good times and challenges.

GROW – by taking part in weekly life skill workshops that will help you to manage yourself, your family and your finances more effectively. Each workshop is focused on providing you with relevant information and skills which you can use in your everyday life.

THRIVE – by working with a caring mentor who will listen, guide and encourage you as you work towards achieving your goals. Working one-on-one with your mentor you will be able to share your daily struggles and successes and talk about how to put your new skills into practice. Your mentor will also be able to provide support in prayer.

What do our participants say?

  • Before coming to Moms Arise! I was alone. Now I feel accepted and helped.” (Ashley)
  • “I was heartbroken and embarrassed about my problems. Since hearing everyone’s stories, I know I am not alone.” (Debora)
  • “Having a mentor to talk to weekly has given me strength.” (Anonymous)
